About me

Mariam Chankvetadze, born in Georgia in 2000, began her piano journey at the age of six in Tbilisi. After three years of study, she continued at the "Talented Music School" in Tbilisi under Nato Magalashvili's guidance. Mariam has earned numerous accolades from international piano competitions across Georgia, Armenia, Germany, Slovakia, Turkey, and the USA. Notably, in 2013, she won a competition in the USA, leading to a performance at Carnegie Hall. Since 2018, Mariam has pursued her education at the Zurich University of the Arts, completing both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Pedagogy. Currently, she is pursuing a second Master's degree in Specialized Performance under Karl-Andreas Kolly's guidance. Throughout her academic journey, Mariam has excelled in university competitions and participated in festivals and masterclasses. She finds great joy in performing as a soloist alongside orchestras, a passion she cherishes deeply. Mariam has had the privilege of such performances on numerous occasions, including a recent appearance at the prestigious Tonhalle. Mariam Chankvetadze aspires to grace stages more frequently, sharing her music passionately with audiences worldwide. Her greatest joy lies inconnecting with people through the transcendent power of music.
